Some say that the string level didn't have a bubble and that one of the bubbles wasn't installed correctly. They also say that it wasn's not calibrated to all three spirit bubbles and that the lower horizontal bubble was covered in glue residue that etched the plastic.

I was looking for another set of RS EZ Nok levels and came across this "Bowtactix" brand. I was hoping they'd be of equal quality despite being half the price. They look nearly identical to the RS EZ Nok levels in the product picture on Amazon (minus the rubber cap on the arrow level stem). I figured for the money they were worth a try.I used my RS EZ Nok level set to check the accuracy of the Bowtactix. After leveling my bow in the tuning vise I attached the RS EZ Nok and the Bowtactix side by side. First observation was the Bowtactix string level wouldn't clip over the serving. The top and bottom clips are completely different sizes! The top clip is too narrow to fit on the served portion of the string where your nock goes. The bottom clipped on/off with little resistance. That was strike one.I was able to clip the Bowtactix under the serving where it kept sliding down, but I eventually got it to stay in place long enough to take pictures which show the cheap level was off by over 3/16 of an inch!!! The RS EZ Nok was dead on. Next I clipped the string levels to the arrow shaft side by side. The bubble in the Bowtactix was buried to the left when the arrow was perfectly level as the RS Ez Nok level shows. I periodically check my RS set using a precision aluminum torpedo level, so I know they've been dead on since day 1.I would call the manufacturer to complain but the set came in a plastic ziploc bag with no instructions or indication as to who makes them or where to call with questions. So I will send these levels back and order another set from RS as I want another set to leave at my hunting cabin.When I ordered my last set of RS Ez Nok levels I called their 800 number with a bow tuning question and was greeted by a friendly gentlemen who was extremely knowledgeable. I was told all of their products are manufactured and assembled by hand in the USA, which explains why they work so well. The old adage you get what you pay for holds true yet again. Its stunning that this garbage is being sold. I feel bad for unsuspecting archers who are using this Bowtactix level combo to set their nocking point.

I think I got my money's worth. Appears to be accurate so if you want something a bit more than "eyeballing" it could do the job quite well. NOT for one handed operation. I.E. vertical level does not clip on to bow string, must be held against it. Horizontal level requires two hands to adjust/position on arrow. So you'll need a buddy to help you check that everything is still level. (Assuming that someone that has their own bow vise wouldn't be going in for a "value" string level.)

After placing bow in vise I tried to level the string needed to use an elastic to secure it to the bow as there was to much play. Then tried to level an arrow, once it was level I flipped the level and it was off by a full bubble. So I pulled out a laser level and it wasn't close either way. You can't trust any reading.
