I’ve been using these grooming wipes for a couple of months now. We got them for our Maltipoo puppy when she was still too young to bathe. Now that she’s older we still use them pretty much everyday. The wipes are durable and have a light, fresh berry scent even though they are listed as “fragrance free.” For added freshness, I use the wipes in conjunction with the Earthbath Puppy Deodorizing Spritz that happens to have the same, fresh berry scent that we now associate with our pup. The wipes tend to dry out after a couple strokes through your dog’s fur, would be better if they had more moisture coming out of the container. I'd actually give them more like a 4.5 simply because they dry out quickly, but then again it could just be that my pup is more fur than body. I’d probably run through them half as fast if I didn’t use the spritz. I do use them for her face as well; the Earthbath specialty eye wipes seem a bit of a rip off, IMO ($7 for 25 wipes).

Overall, durable wipes with a clean scent that’s not at all overpowering. Good value for the price.

Worked well to wipe paws as it's been raining almost every day since we got our puppy. The scent is nice, the wipes were thick enough and held up even when my puppy tried to tear them out of my hands (clearly she's not a fan of being held against her will to be wiped down :D). The wipes also stayed moist all the way through the box, but we used up the entire box in two weeks so it didn't have time to dry out! Dislikes: the lid arrived broken, right at the button where you're supposed to press so that the lid pops open. Basically had to use my fingernail to pry the lid open so it wouldn't break the top. The wipes wouldn't stay up through the top of the box either, so as we got half way through you had to reach with your fingers through the lid and struggle to get a wipe out. Ultimately I started taking the whole freaking lid off to get a wipe before my pup tracked mud through the house. Lastly, multiple times i came across a couple of wipes that were stuck together. Almost as if a glue was holding them together. Made me doubt the all-natural aspect of these wipes...

I used a few different wipes from other brands but recently came back to Earthbath. Comparing to other brands, the thickness, moist level, scent and effect of Earthbath are perfect in my opinion. It is thick enough to do the job but soft. It eliminates oder and keeps my pup smell fine between bath. Some other reviewers claim that it is dry but I've never had issues with it... Some other brand's wipes that I used until recently have lots moisture and my dog used to leave footprints on the floor after cleaning his paws, which I didn't like. The moisture level of Earthbath is perfect - not too wet, not too dry.

Earthbath All Natural Grooming Wipes are so wonderful and I honestly feel they are not hard on my little puppy. There are comments from reviewers saying the wipes do have fragrance, other people say they do not. Look at the product description; there are several types available, the fragrance free and the scented ones. I got the cherry scent (they also sell mango, green tea leaf, and 'puppy' scents). The ones I have smell mildly, but distinctly, like cherry Chapstick. It's a pleasant scent, and makes my puppy smell clean.

As far as cleaning effectiveness, the wipes are good for wiping traces urine or stool, but not so great for cleaning the dog's coat. After my pup rolls in dirt and grass, lays on sidewalks or paths, or walks through mud he needs more than a slightly damp paper cloth to clean his coat. The results are acceptable, but sometimes the wipes leave a bit of a sticky residue on his coat and that tends to collect more fine dirt.

Another reviewer pointed out that the box doesn't close tightly. I have the same problem. There is a plastic tab that is supposed to 'grab' the hinged top on the box. Nine times out of ten it fails to latch closed. I pull the tab up and this solves the problem for a few uses, then I have to encourage it again by bending it. If you don't make sure the box closes snugly the wipes will dry out.

Overall, it's a decent product, but if I had to do this over, I'd go to a discount store, but a packet of cheap terrycloth washcloths, dampen one as needed and throw it in the laundry after use. Plain water really is hypo-allergenic. Or, use a roll of paper towels and throw them out as you use them. Either way, it would be a lot cheaper than spending $9.00 a box for damp woven paper.
