After careful consideration, there didn't seem to be a better value desktop option than the Acer Aspire TC. I was considering other entry-level offerings and also Dell XPS refurb for desktop with capacity and also capability to run photo and video editing. Here is a what led me to this decision, which I couldn't be happier with:

- Ample 2TB storage and fast
- Sufficient processor and RAM (i5-6400 rates at 6609 Passmark score which bests my 2yr old i7 processor)
- Option to add mid-level GPU to boost photo/video rendering down the road
- Clean, compact form factor
(What I am happy about after purchase)
- Runs Photoshop and Lightroom 5.7 flawlessly, and considerably faster than my 2yr old i7 HP desktop - surprisingly quick!
- 2TB SATA3 hard drive is VERY fast
- Win10 load seems to be bloatware free
- Case is nicely built and clean looking
- WiFi performance also great
(What you should know about)
- Keyboard and mouse are functional but quite cheap
- DVD drive on the flimsy side
- SD card reader slot is a bit 'vague' when inserting media
Overall, I am very impressed with the performance of this desktop. It is fast and renders video / graphics quite well with the integrated graphics. After a few weeks of working with Lightroom and Sony Platinum Movie Studio, I can say that this desktop should be more than capable to run the majority of any application beyond general browsing and office apps. Highly recommended!
