Bought this last minute for a wedding to smooth out my tummy and back under my dress. Based on the reviews, I thought it would be a lifesaver. Boy was I wrong! I am 5'5", 160 lbs and a size 12, and a Large was WAY too tight. It just would not stay up, rolled down immediately. The rubbery elastic on the inside that is supposed to stick to your skin and hold it up didn't work at all. Returned it immediately.

This would be prefect if it came in an extra small. I have a petite frame, but normally these type things in a small fit me well. It fits everywhere except around the top, where its really loose...the rest is okay but doesnt hold everything in like Spanx does. I bought these because the dress I need to wear it under, my spanx were too long on the leg. These do seem to creep a bit like other reviewers said even though I haven't worn them that long yet. I'm hoping a little hair spray around the leg will fix the problem.

Flattens tummy-but shows lines

This product is perfect if you need control under a flowy dress or poofy wedding dress, however the lines (at the waist and thigh openings) are obvious through most everything.

If you were planning on wearing this under jeans or tight dresses, be warned that the lines are pretty obvious. For starters, the waist band rolls a little and the boy-short cut (which sounds genius) in reality isn't.

Why? Shapers don't erase fat... they rearrange fat. So the fat in your jiggly upper thigh isn't going to magically vanish... it's going to protrude and form a bulge right where the boy-short ends. Luckily, my thighs aren't that jiggly but for women with some meat on their bones...I can see it as a HUGE potential problem.

However, I am basing this review off the purpose of my purchase which was to hide my tummy under my wedding dress and it did just that

Flexees vs. Spanx

I've used Spanx before and I liked them. They do their job well, they're just very expensive. I've tried other inexpensive shapewear and it just didn't do that job. Flexees is a major competitor for Spanx. They do a very nice job as smoothing and shaping the body and they don't ride down. The only gripe I have about them is the rubber grip that's supposed to hold them up, I think it adds too much bulk and thus makes it roll down a little bit. Spanx doesn't have that rubber grip and it doesn't fall down at all. The rubber grip makes it roll down a bit so I gotta do a little tuck under my bra to make sure it doesn't roll down. That's my only gripe, but the boyshorts are comfortable. The Spanx had a high brief underwear part and it kind of dug into my crotch, but the boyshorts are very comfy.

I was a skeptic and have never worn anything like this before, but decided to purchase anyway. I guess I purchased the wrong size (Large) because I could not fit into it at all. My measurements are 41 - 33.5 - 42.5 and I could not get that thing up passed my knees. I returned and exchanged for an XL and it was the same exact size as the large, but decided I'll give it a go and try to squeeze into it. It was more stretchy than the Large, so everything turned out much better than I expected it to. It does not ride down at all and certainly smooths you out. Strangely, it is actually comfortable. Very soft and durable material. No one would even be able to tell you are wearing it. I am looking forward to purchasing more. The only thing that sucks is when you have to go to the bathroom.

Waaaay too small

I ordered a size medium based on their sizing chart. My hips measured 39 inches so I thought a medium would be perfect. Wrong! I couldn't pull it past my thighs. I wanted this item to help cover things up after a c-section. I was an 8 before I got pregnant and I'm only 10 lbs away from my previous weight and a size 12 just because of my belly. This wouldn't have fit me even before I got pregnant. Should have followed my instinct and ordered the large.

Yes this thing does "suck it all in," but the sides of the leg openings roll up and don't stay put and I end up with (eeks!) a 'wedgie' which is of course completely visible under any close fitting dress or garment. Had I realized this before cutting the tags off and attempting to wear it out for an evening on the town (only wore it for an hour or so before my fidgeting with it got on my boyfriends nerves and I just went into the ladies room and took it off), it would be going straight back to the seller. I will stick with Spanx from here on out.

This high-waist boy short has to be the most uncomfortable one I've ever worn. I really am a big fan of Maidenform but the Flexees line does have issues. I love the idea of the high-waist boyshort instead of the usual big brief, but the waistband is so terribly tight on your ribs it feels like you have a dislocated one. There's no give there at all which combined with your bra is pure Torture! It does however hold you in and the fit is good everywhere else but the waistband is just too darn tight.
