I had my eye on this watch for over a year, really wanted it, and received it as a gift from my sons who are Amazon Prime members and bought it from Amazon. We immediately went on a scuba diving holiday. I purchased the stainless band, white face, metric dial, Tissot Sea Touch, but the comments below apply to any of the Sea Touch range.
1) as received, the watch already displayed low battery signal. Others have complained about this and the cost ($100+) to have it done by Tissot service center which is mandatory 2) Watch box contained lots of documentation about Tissot history, did not include an operating manual. 3) I downloaded the operating manual. Interesting that here they fill it with legalese "This is not a divers watch". Can you believe it. 4) First dive I made, switched it to dive mode. The hands convert to depth guage indicator and the digital watch starts - NOT. when I submerged, just got an ERR reading, which means no time or depth function! So I went back to the operating manual (on line) to make sure I had used it properly and tried again. Same result. Less than totally worthless, this is dangerous. Luckily, I had brought my old, cheap, trusty Timex Expedition watch with me. Not a dive watch, but good enough. Had it for 3 years, still not replaced the battery. Timex Men's T45581 Expedition E-Instruments Tide Temperature and Compass Watch 5) I wrote directly to Tissot customer service on line to seek advice. It has been several months, No reply of any kind. 6) My sons returned the watch. Amazon refunded the money, great service from Amazon.
Don't buy this product. Tissot does not deserve your business.
The watch is very nice but the cost of this if there eserado better. I really love the technology but I think there watches Japanese technology that outweigh this and lower cost.
I've had this watch for over a year and a half now and I love it. It is always a conversation piece among other divers and it worked perfectly on the dives I've taken on. My previous watches were Tag Heuer Aquaracer Calibre S and Limited Edition 007 Omega Seamaster, of which neither have seen the water since I've gotten this one. Sleep mode really conserves battery. My only complaint is that the logbook is not transferable to a computer or any other device.
I bought it in Spain and have no complaints. It autostarts when submerging. The only downside is the backlight, which only illiminates the digital window, not the entire watch face. When the hands block the window, the digits are hard to read.
