Fits a little snug.
4 Stars
Fits a little snug.
Im 6’0- 180lbs. Fits the tinniest bit snug, but I like that because it wont be too big and get in the way. Will test out buoyancy next time I kayak and update this.

I am confused as to why there are tiny holes punched in the bottom of the life jacket material. Does anyone know the answer. I ordered two and the small holes are on both jackets. Looks like they used a hole puncher.

I have one of these life jackets, and it's definitely a quility built life jacket. I tested it by jumping into the lake one day, even though I cannot swim. Sure enough it supported me in the water without any trouble. If general safety is your only purpose in looking for a life jacket, this one is a safe bet.

Comfort varies with this jacket. While they are more comfortable than less expensive life jackets, they are not particularly comfortable during rowing. The life jacket has a tendency to slip up from my waist during rows, even with a secure fit. If you're just spectating in boat and not doing anything, however, this jacket does just fine.

Alternatives to this around the same price is Cabela's Full Motion Vest. It allows more freedom of movement during rowing, and is much more comfortable.

I bought two of these recently for use in a two- person kayak used in flat water padding (lakes and rivers). The vests are well- made, lightweight and comfortable (well, as comfortable as a vest can be in the Florida heat in July) and were not "in the way" while paddling the craft around. In the water, the vest will keep you in the proper "reclining on your back with head up" position and float you like a cork. Just be certain to give the three friction straps a snug pull so the vest won't tend to ride up on you in the water.
Unlike a previous reviewer, I felt the vest was quite comfortable while paddling the kayak, but perhaps this may vary with the size and shape of the wearer. All in all, this product is good value for the money, and I would recommend it for general water safety in a canoe or kayak.

I bought this jacket because it was Amazon's pick. When you touch it, its inside has three pieces of foam. It is cheaply made. I have to return it and buy something with a better quality, after all its a life jacket.

This life jacket fits well and looks great. It has a very sturdy feel to it and keeps you floating even in mild waves. My only complaint is that the jacket tends to ride up my arm pits and I was frequently pushing down on the jacket and trying to tighten the belts. Other then that this jacket is highly recommended.

We have tried a wide variety of inexpensive life vests, and this seems to be the "pick of the litter" by a wide margin. This is the only model we will buy from now on.
